RECENT REPRESENTATIVE TRANSACTIONS: Trident is
co-developer with Grand Lux S.A. of Athens, Greece of a US $285,000,000
ultra-luxury resort project near Pyrgos in the Ilia Prefecture of
Peloponnisos, Greece. The project
includes a 138 room luxury hotel, 180 condominiums, a convention center,
nightclub, tennis courts, a Nick Faldo Signature golf course and more than
3000 feet of beach front on the Ionian Sea just 16 kilometers from Olympia,
site of opening ceremonies for the 2004 Olympics. The entire
development will be managed by Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, and is
scheduled to open in the summer of 2007. <<>> Trident
was recently a team member with Shirley Contracting on the financing and
construction of $260,000,000 Phase II improvements to the Route 28 Corridor
in Fairfax and Loudon Counties, Virginia.
Trident’s responsibilities included preparation and negotiation of
transaction documentation. <<>> Trident,
together with local parties, is co-developer of a bottled water project at
Kostenets, Bulgaria. The project will
create a bottling plant at an existing but unused deposit of fresh water,
which will produce bottled water, juice concentrates and soft drinks for the
domestic and international markets. <<>> Through
its fifty percent interest in Infrastructure Investment Group LLC, Trident is
an equity participant and co-manager of the “Dulles Corridor Mobility
Initiative” which proposes to acquire a 50-year concession from the
Commonwealth of Virginia to improve, operate, maintain and collect tolls on
the Dulles Toll Road in Fairfax County, Virginia. Other participants include Macquarie Infrastructure Group
(Australia), Autostrade SpA (Italy) and John Laing plc (UK). Citigroup and Lehman Brothers are
co-financial advisers. The
acquisition price is expected to be well in excess of $1 Billion.
